” Planet Hiltron takes photos of celebs and photoshops them so that they look like normal people — poorly dressed, flabby, nourished by fast food and a little bit wrinkly.”

I am an iTunes man to the bone, but this looks interesting
Songbird™ is a desktop Web player, a digital jukebox and Web browser mash-up. Like Winamp, it supports extensions and skins feathers. Like Firefox®, it is built from Mozilla®, cross-platform and open source.

This one goes out to the Aussie Lumanatis out there.
If you’ve been following the news recently, there’s this cool thing coming up very soon which is very important, it’s called THE ELECTION!
Problem is that most of us young folk move around so much (and can’t afford a permanent house anyway) that we sometimes forget to change our electoral roll details, thereby making ourselves ineligible to vote.
So go and update your details or if you haven’t done so before, sign up. I don’t care who you vote for, just make sure you have your say on the day.
I went there to check out some talks by journalistic photographers but there are heaps of other areas like technology, science and business which have really good discussions.

Hey Aussie Lumanaties,
wanna work overseas in a foreign, developing country? Got skills you’d rather contribute to bettering the world rather than filling the pockets of ’the man’? Want the Aussie govt. to send you overseas to achieve this? Then go to www.ayad.com.au
There’s heaps of media related positions available this round, they’ll pay for your flights and give you an allowance to live on.
If you’re interested, don’t dilly dally with your applications as there is heaps of paperwork to fill out but don’t let that deter you, I know heaps of people who have either completed an assignment or going thru one now and it’s an opportunity you can’t buy.
But if you got the guts to get out there and a year or so to contribute, why not give it a go.
